The Northwest Zone, launched in August 2012, serves students who live and go to school within the boundaries of the Pearl-Cohn and Whites Creek clusters. Vanderbilt Center for Community Health Solutions, its Coordinating Agency, provides services to 200 students by subcontracting with additional existing providers, including: PENCIL Foundation, Bethlehem Centers, YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, CASTLES, Metro Parks & Recreation and Beech Creek Ministries.

Meeting afterschool needs in NW Zone
An exciting new partnership between NAZA NW, the Pencil Foundation CEP program, and Premier West apartments has established a new NAZA program serving up to 20 HG Hill students who live at Premier West. Having reached the close of this first semester programming in the Northwest zone, Anchor Partners showed off their incredibly talented young people at year end showcases. These events gave parents, teachers, principals and other stakeholders a glimpse of some of what the youth have been working on this semester at NAZA after school programs. The Center's purpose is to enhance the lives of underserved children and their families. Programs are designed to assure the survival and success of family members at school, in the home and in the local communities. To those ends, the principle mission of The Centers for Family Life is to educate, nurture, motivate and lead the families it serves in the direction of spiritual, cultural, academic, biological, and socioeconomic achievement. Students involved in the NAZA program at the Center will:
Be engaged in preparing to meet 2014 common core standards;
Involve themselves in general education that includes technology, music and travel;
Begin acquiring the level of discipline necessary to prepare for college; and
Learn what it means to have a global perspective.

Join Career Exploration for a fun look at how to get the job of your dreams. Enjoy entertaining activities like field trips, summer camp, running your own business on laptops, arts & craft, cooking and recreation. Spend time with exciting speakers like Ms. Tennessee and Titan Players. Learn more about yourself, money management, technology, college and career planning. Mix up the fun with a great snack, homework assistance, tutoring, and mentoring too!

The Stars Of Bethlehem Club is a comprehensive, stimulating and fun initiative that provides afterschool tutoring, health and fitness education, field trips, intramural sports, electives, ARTS education, fun social fellowship, alcohol and drug prevention and extended supplemental services such as summer camps, job-readiness training, character education, social development and family empowerment.

CASTLES Healthy Kids program is about encouraging young people to develop a healthy lifestyle through entertaining activities and projects.
